| On December 10, 1995, Evan S. Dobelle was chosen by Trinity's [[trustees|Board of Trustees]] to be the College's next [[presidents|president]] after a nine-month nationwide search. Dobelle was then inaugurated as Trinity's 18th president on October 1, 1996, and served the College until 2001. During his tenure as president, he implemented many programs to connect the community and the College, the most notable being the [[learning_corridor_initiative|Learning Corridor Initiative]].
