Concrete Jungle
The term “Concrete Jungle” refers to the first-year courtyards that include the first-year residence halls Elton, Funston, Jones, Jackson, Trinity, and Smith. The term may have been first used in print in the Tripod in 2005, but use of the colloquialism probably dated from well before.
